JVZoo strictly prohibits users from renting, borrowing, sharing, providing, or using another individual’s or company’s Stripe, PayPal, or other payment processing account for transactions conducted through or in connection with JVZoo.
This includes both:
- Allowing another person or business to use a payment processing account belonging to you; and
- Processing your business transactions through a payment processing account belonging to another person or business.
Why This Is Prohibited
Using payment processing accounts in this manner may violate the terms and policies of the applicable payment processor and also violates JVZoo’s User Agreements.
These arrangements create significant risk for customers, affiliates, processors, account holders, and JVZoo.
When these arrangements fail, the consequences commonly include:
- The payment processing account becoming restricted, suspended, or terminated.
- The inability to properly process customer refunds.
- Increased customer complaints, disputes, and chargebacks.
- Negative JVZooPay balances for the product owner as refunds and disputes continue to be assessed against transactions that can no longer be properly refunded through the original processor.
- Negative JVZooPay balances for affiliates who promoted those products, even when those affiliates had no knowledge that the product creator was using a rented, borrowed, shared, or third-party processing account.
- JVZoo being left responsible for substantial negative balances for months and, in some cases, indefinitely when those balances are not repaid by the responsible users.
JVZoo will not assume responsibility for resolving the consequences of a prohibited payment processing arrangement entered into by a JVZoo user.
Enforcement
Effective immediately, users who violate JVZoo’s User Agreements by renting, providing, sharing, borrowing, or using another party’s payment processing account may be subject to:
- Permanent suspension or termination of their JVZoo account;
- A freeze of 100% of available JVZooPay funds for up to 180 days to cover refunds, disputes, chargebacks, negative balances, and other associated liabilities; and
- Suspension or termination of additional JVZoo accounts associated with the same individuals or business ownership.
Enforcement may extend beyond the specific JVZoo account where the prohibited activity occurred.
If KYC verification, ownership information, payment information, or other account records confirm common ownership or control, JVZoo may suspend or terminate other JVZoo accounts associated with the party renting or providing the processing account and the party using it.
This Applies to Both Parties
Users should understand that JVZoo prohibits participation on either side of these arrangements.
Do not rent or provide your Stripe, PayPal, or other payment processing account to another JVZoo user.
Do not use another individual’s or company’s Stripe, PayPal, or payment processing account to conduct your JVZoo business.
Users are responsible for maintaining compliant payment processing arrangements and ensuring they are able to fulfill their obligations to customers, including issuing refunds when required.
JVZoo Payment Processing
JVZoo offers payment processing services that eligible users may apply for.
Users who need payment processing should utilize legitimate processing options available to them rather than attempting to circumvent processor requirements through rented, borrowed, shared, or third-party accounts.
This notice constitutes JVZoo’s last and final warning regarding this practice. Continued violations will result in enforcement action.
